A day on the train to Dunrobin Castle
We catch the train from Inverness passing through some beautiful scenery before reaching Dunrobin Castle. Admission is included for this amazing property which resembles a French château with its towering conical spires. This is one of Britain’s oldest continuously inhabited houses dating back to the early 1300s and features spectacular falconry flying demonstrations.
History Trail
We start the day with a visit to Culloden to experience the powerful emotions of the Battle of Culloden in the visitor centre’s 360-degree battle immersion theatre, which puts you right in the heart of the action. Later we head to the romantic fairy-tale Cawdor castle that has been the home of the Thanes of Cawdor since 1370.
