Whitby Weekend

Steeped in history, there are many visitor attractions that are connected to Whitby’s fascinating past, such as the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, where you can learn about the famous explorer’s life in the port town. Other things to do in Whitby include visiting the Dracula Experience on the seafront, where you can be guided through the story and learn about its connection to the town. Our base is the Royal Hotel which has a stunning position overlooking Whitby Abbey and the sea, with wonderful views of both. Our excursions take us to Scarborough and York. Scarborough
Scarborough is a seaside town of natural beauty, with stunning beaches, gardens and boating lakes. Take a stroll around the harbour, cafés and shops or along the scenic cliff tops for a panoramic view of the town. A twelfth century  castle, North Bay miniature railway and the famous Peasholm Park are just some of the attractions you may want to experience during your visit.

York
York is renowned for its medieval Roman architecture and quaint cobbled streets surrounded by ancient walls, offering a wealth of cultural and historical sites, with the awe-inspiring York Minster at its heart.
