Spend the day exploring Bowness and Windermere, two beautiful towns lying on the banks of Lake Windermere. Take a wander around the many visitor attractions and shops or go for a cruise on the largest natural lake in the UK.
Keswick & Grasmere
Begin the day with a trip to the pretty market town of Keswick offering a wide range of shops, restaurants and museums. Later you can enjoy time in Grasmere, a charming village known for being the home of the famous poet William Wordsworth who described this beauty spot as “the loveliest spot that man hath ever found”.
Whitehaven & Cockermouth
With so many beauty spots, picturesque places and Georgian architecture there’s no wonder tourists come back to Whitehaven year after year. Attractions include the historic harbour and Rum Story Museum. Later in the afternoon we spend time in Cockermouth, a thriving town with medieval and Georgian streets beneath the castle walls.

Our free Door to Door service is available to customers within 15 miles of Dunfermline / Edinburgh / Bathgate / Glasgow / Paisley / East Kilbride / Hamilton.
For customers living further afield, Door to Door may be available for a supplement.
