Eilean Donan Castle & Plockton
Eilean Donan is recognised as one of the most iconic images of Scotland all over the world. Situated on an island at the point where three great sea lochs meet, and surrounded by some majestic scenery, it is little wonder that the castle is now one of the most visited and important attractions in the Scottish Highlands. Later we spend time in Plockton known as “the Jewel of the Highlands”. This picturesque Highland village sits on a sheltered bay with stunning views overlooking Loch Carron.
Gairloch Heritage Museum & Poolewe
An enjoyable excursion into the centre of Gairloch to visit the Heritage Museum which takes you on a journey through time showing how local people lived and worked in Gairloch through the ages. You can marvel at how stone-age and bronze-age people existed with relatively limited technology. Later we take the short journey to Poolewe which is a beautiful little village set on the banks of Loch Ewe.
Ullapool
A great day out taking in beautiful Ullapool, famous for the colourful fishing boats on the harbour. A destination in its own right for nature, hillwalking, outdoor activities, music, arts, food and drink, festivals, history and Highland culture.
