The Ring of Kerry is situated in the south west corner of Ireland. Over the centuries, it has been the inspiration of poets and writers because of its magnificent coastal scenery and rugged countryside. This great tour lets you see the best of one of the most beautiful locations in the world from a beautiful base in Bantry.

Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: We embark on our journey to Ireland with a short ferry trip from Cairnryan. We then proceed to an overnight hotel in the East of Ireland to break up your journey.

Day 2: Travel to Bantry and arrive relaxed and refreshed at the West Lodge Hotel, our base for the next four nights.

Day 3: We enjoy a scenic drive along the breathaking Wild Atlantic Way this morning en-route to the colourful town of Dingle. We enjoy the stunning scenery and stop at beautiful Inch Beach, which has featured in various famous films, to take in its 4 miles of beautiful sands and views over Dingle Bay and the mountains of Kerry. On arrivial in Dingle, the charming capital of the Dingle Peninsula, we head down to the main pier from where we enjoy a harbour and dolphin cruise. We hear about the story of Dingle Bay and its people on our cruise taking in the scenery. We have free time for lunch in Dingle and a stroll around this authentic Irish town full of pubs, quaint shops and eateries. 

Day 4: A free day where you can make use of the hotel leisure club or venture into Bantry town centre. With a fine raised plaza in its main square overlooking the harbour, the town has a variety of small shops, restaurants and bars to choose from and is an ideal holiday location with plenty to offer all visitors. The majestic Bantry House overlooks the harbour with its beautiful gardens reaching down towards the shore where one can enjoy the spectacular views of the Caha Mountains across the bay. 

Day 5: Today, we experience a stunning drive around the mystical and unspoilt Ring of Kerry, one of the most spectacular circular driving routes in Ireland. The drive provides us with an insight into the area's ancient heritage and allows us to marvel at the fantastic views of its stunning scenery. During our journey, we spend time at leisure in the elgant seaside town of Kenmar, the jewel in the Ring of Kerry. 

Day 6: En route to our overnight hotel in the East of Ireland, we stop off in the Viking city of Limerick, a bustling modern city with rich medieval past.

Day 7: We end the holiday with the ferry crossing back to Scotland, with time to reflect on your holiday memories of beautiful Ireland.

This 4-star hotel situated on 26 acres of landscaped gardens on the edge of Bantry town overlooks Bantry Bay in scenic West Cork. Facilities include the informal Carbery Bar and the exquisite Sugarloaf Restaurant with it’s stunning view of Bantry Bay. The leisure centre boasts a state of the art gym, pool, children’s pool, sauna, steam room & jacuzzi. On the grounds there is a pitch & putt golf course, tennis court and fairy trail. There is a lift to most floors and a minimum of one night entertainment.

Our free Door to Door service is available to customers within 15 miles of Dunfermline / Edinburgh / Bathgate / Glasgow / Bothwell Services.

For customers living further afield, Door to Door may be available for a supplement.
