This tour combines the elegance of Canterbury with medieval Bruges. Our base in Sittingbourne is in the heart of Kent’s countryside but offers easy access to several tourist hotspots. Highlight of the tour is a trip on Eurotunnel to Bruges not to mention a city day out to Canterbury and a seaside trip to Margate. Truly something for everyone!

Excursions

Canterbury
The jewel in Kent’s crown, this world-famous cathedral city was one of medieval Europe’s great places of pilgrimages and knowledge. The  extraordinary cathedral dominates the medieval streets within the city walls.  Wander the winding streets and visit King’s Mile for some shopping or perhaps take a boat trip along the River Stour, another popular way to discover this city.

Bruges
We take the train through the Eurotunnel to the cosmopolitan town of Bruges in Belgium (passport required). Explore the town’s handsome squares, particularly the Burg which is dominated by the medieval City Hall. Or take a cruise along the canals to discover secret gardens and picturesque bridges. Bruges is the world’s capital of chocolate and there is an abundance of Belgian chocolate shops with varying priced chocolate which will satisfy any sweet tooth!

Margate
This timeless seaside town is in the midst of a cultural renaissance. Combining the old charms of a traditional seaside town with a world-class art gallery, chic eateries and vintage shops, Margate’s Old Town regeneration is clear for all to see. You’ll still be able to enjoy classic seaside delights though with amusements, candy floss stands and fish & chip shops along the sandy beaches.
