Spend the day exploring Bowness and Windermere, two beautiful towns lying on the banks of Lake Windermere. Take a wander around the many visitor attractions and shops or go for a cruise along the largest natural lake in the UK.

Kendal
A half day excursion to Kendal home to a fine selection of shopping arcades, two castles, two museums, a host of historical buildings and a multitude of fine bars and restaurants. Afterwards there will be free time in the centre of Grange-over-Sands.

Keswick & Grasmere
Begin the day with a trip to the pretty market town of Keswick offering a wide range of shops, restaurants and museums. Later you can enjoy time in Grasmere, a charming village known for being the home of the famous poet William Wordsworth who described this beauty spot as “the loveliest spot that man hath ever found”.

Cumbria Grand Hotel - Grange-over-Sands

The Cumbria Grand Hotel, built in 1880, is located only a short drive from the majestic Lake Windermere. Set in 20 acres of private gardens and woodlands and overlooking Morecambe Bay, you will receive a warm and friendly welcome at this charming 3-Star Victorian Hotel.  Facilities include the Hazelwood Restaurant with commanding views from a wall of spectacular windows overlooking the Bay and the adjacent golf course, the Jacobean Bar with a roaring open fire and a tennis court. There is regular evening entertainment and a lift to all floors.

Door to Door Pick Up

Our free Door to Door service is available to customers within 15 miles of Dunfermline / Edinburgh / Bathgate / Glasgow / Paisley / East Kilbride / Hamilton.

For customers living further afield, Door to Door may be available for a supplement.

Please note: You may travel with other customers in the people carrier, taxi or minibus taking you to your holiday coach. Not all members of your party may be in the same car if getting picked up at different addresses.
