This cracking Irish tour combines Galway, a thriving, bohemian, cultural city on the western coast of Ireland with the wonders of the Wild Atlantic Way. This is renowned as one of the most captivating coastal driving routes in the world. Other highlights of the tour include trips to the enchanting Bunratty Castle & Folk Park and the stunning Cliffs of Moher.

 

Holiday Itinerary

Day one - We embark on our journey to Ireland with the short ferry trip from Cairnryan. We then proceed to an overnight hotel in the East of Ireland to break up your journey.

Day two - We set off for Ennis and stop en route with time to explore Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, a must on your visit to the west of Ireland. Experience a window on the past and explore the story of Ireland’s nineteenth century. Afterwards we embark on the short drive to Treacy’s Hotel in Ennis which will be our base for the next four nights.

Day three - A full day to allow you to discover all that medieval Galway has to offer. Wandering its labyrinth of quaint cobbled streets, with colourful shop facades and busy café/bar culture. Or walk along the long, winding promenade looking out over Galway bay and watch the world go by.

Day four - A free day where you can relax in the hotel, making use of the leisure facilities or perhaps take yourself into Ennis town centre only one mile from the hotel. Ennis is a fascinating town with a nice mixture of the old and the new.

Day five - We tour along the Wild Atlantic Way, first to Spanish Point before we reach the Cliffs of Moher, considered one of the natural wonders  of the world. Entrance to the visitor centre is included. We continue through Doolin, regarded as the home of traditional Irish music to reach the old spa resort of Lisdoonvarna, famous for its Autumn matchmaking festival.

Day six - En route to our overnight hotel in the East of Ireland, we stop off in the Viking city of Limerick, a bustling modern city with rich medieval past.

Day seven - We begin our journey home with the short ferry trip back to Scotland.

This popular hotel offers a warm Irish welcome and is located one mile from the town centre of Ennis. Facilities include restaurant, traditional Irish bar and relaxing café. The leisure club boasts a heated indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and gym. There is regular evening entertainment and a lift to most floors.

Door to Door Pick Up

Our free Door to Door service is available to customers within 15 miles of Dunfermline / Edinburgh / Bathgate / Glasgow / Paisley / East Kilbride / Hamilton.

For customers living further afield, Door to Door may be available for a supplement.

Please note: You may travel with other customers in the people carrier, taxi or minibus taking you to your holiday coach. Not all members of your party may be in the same car if getting picked up at different addresses.
